In August of 2016, the Ontario Trillium Foundation (OTF), once again gave its valuable support to the Canadian Latin American Association of London (CALA) to launch its newest pilot project: Leading Women, a training program designed to help motivate and transform the lives 25 low-income Latin American women in our community. This program will provide soft skills and leadership training, as well as CPR/First Aid, WHMIS and workplace safety certifications to program participants. Our aim is to help women envision a better life for themselves, and take the first steps to making this transformation. The program will be 20 weeks in length, and the women will also be partnered with a professional mentor to help them achieve both personal and professional goals.
